Hello! I’m a design director, graphic designer, illustrator and dog lover based in Chicago, IL.

Originally from Kyoto, Japan, I studied economics in college before moving to New York to pursue my dream of becoming a musician—hoping to be the next Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof. Knowing it wouldn’t be easy, I went to an art school to study communication design (partially as a practical way to find bandmates) and ended up falling in love with design.

My favorite part of design is turning complex, messy information into clear, functional, and visually compelling design systems.

I also enjoy learning new skills and exploring new technologies. Recently, I’ve been especially interested in the tech industry and helping companies create brands that feel truly distinctive and ownable in an increasingly saturated market.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to shows, playing music with friends, and spending her time with her very cute Shiba Inu, Momo.
